◤FIFA World Cup in Qatar◢ Christopher Nkunku ruled out of France squad at the last minute after suffering a serious leg injury following an accidental tackle by teammate Eduardo Camavinga during training session..

The Athletic quoted French outlet RMC Sport on Tuesday that RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku was forced to withdraw from the French national team at the last minute for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar due to a serious leg injury during training.

According to reports, when France was training and preparing for the World Cup at Clairefontaine on the same night, Nkunku was accidentally tackled by teammate, Real Madrid wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga, and once clutched his legs and groaned in pain. Everyone stopped training and swarmed Nkunku to care for his injury immediately following the incident, but the latter was eventually helped to the sidelines in pain after the team doctor gave simple emergency treatment.

Later, the French Football Federation confirmed through a post on their official Twitter account syaing: "Christopher Nkunku was forced to withdraw from the national team's list for the World Cup due to serious injuries during the training camp. Everyone in the national team would like to wish Christopher makes a speedy recovery and is saddened by the helplessness and disappointment he feels."

The 25-year-old Nkunku has continued his fiery form for RB Leipzig from last season.

So far this season, he has played 23 times for the Bundesliga heavyweights in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and assisted 4 times.

The 20-year-old Camavinga on the other hand has gradually become a powerful super substitute for Real Madrid after Casemiro left and joined Manchester United.

This season, the La Liga giants' midfielder has played 20 times for the club in all competitions, helping the team achieved 15 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses.

France has been plagued by injuries and bad news recently. They first had to suffer from Paul Pogba and N'golo Kanté, two midfielders who were ruled out. Then the news that Presnel Kimpembe was also injured and forced to leave the team, and now that Nkunku has also joined the injured list, head coach Didier Deschamps will face more and more tricky problems with player replacements for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
