◤FIFA World Cup in Qatar◢ Simon Kjær, Thomas Delaney, Andreas Christensen, Christian Eriksen, Kasper Schmeichel and more listed in Denmark

The Danish Football Association has announced the names of 21 players in the country's 26-man squad list for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar through its official YouTube channel.

To mark the occassion, the Danish Football Association even specially invited the country's former Arsenal star Niklas Bendtner to serve as the revealing guest.

According to the list announced this time, Kasper Schmeichel, Andreas Christensen, Simon Kjær, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and last year's European Championship shining star Mikkel Damsgaard were all selected.

In addition to the aforementioned players, Thomas Delaney of Sevilla is also on the list, making the players recruited by Denmark this time very star-studded.

But, arguably the most exciting inclusion among them have to be the Manchester United midfielder, Christian Eriksen, who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and epilepsy in the first round of the European Championship last year and was rushed to the hospital and returned to the action after being implanted with a cardiac defibrillator.

It is worth mentioning that the list of 21 players announced by Denmark this time is not actually their final list. The names of the remaining 5 players will be announced later this week by De Rød-Hvide.

Among the 21 people called-up this time, Oliver Christensen, Jesper Lindstrøm and Rasmus Kristensen are all players who are participating in an major international tournament with Denmark for the first time, but already with a prestigious reputation in the club level.

Regarding this call-up, Danish national team coach Kasper Hjulmand said in an interview: "There are still 10 to 12 players  who arestill competing for the last remaining places, and many players still have two games left to play with their clubs, they can take this opportunity to showcase themselves, and because of this, things can happen until the last minute."

Denmark is drawn into Group D in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, in the same group as Tunisia, Australia, and defending champions France. Considering their strong bench and lineup are almost the same as they were in the European Championship, hence De Rød-Hvide should have a great chance of successfully qualifying to the next stage.
