AC Milan Projects Divock Origi As Experienced Player in Team
2022-07-03 06:40JAKARTA -- AC Milan's current project is built on young players to the core. As one of Europe's most attractive sides, bright-eyed young stars like Rafael Leao, Theo Hernandez, Sandro Tonali and Fikayo Tomori have made a big contribution to the recent streak of success by claiming the first Italian Serie A scudetto in 11 years.
Meanwhile these top talents have garnered a lot of attention and traction in the transfer market. Along with Simon Kjaer, the Rossoneri brought back Zlatan Ibrahimovic, followed by Olivier Giroud on a bargain last summer from Chelsea. They were 38 and 34 years old at the time of the deal, respectively. The two champion strikers have made a huge impact in the dressing room, on the training ground and on matchdays.
Through his experience under Juergen Klopp at Liverpool, the aim of new signing Divock Origi, beyond goal production, is to further develop the winning culture that has begun to be seen once again at AC Milan.
The Belgium international helped play a key role in numerous trophy successes during his years at Anfield. Although it is often used as a rotating attacking part for Klopp to apply as he wishes. The 27-year-old Origi rarely looks out of place or unprepared for the German coach's heavy-metal football.
Through a scheme of high pressure, sharp passing and a strong commitment to movement, this style requires special qualities for the player to produce positive results. For Origi, tactically, technically and physically, he has proven more than capable of making commitments.
Origi, as reported by Football-Italy , Thursday (30/6/2022), has become a value-added commodity for Pioli's 4-2-3-1 scheme. His younger foot has far less foothold than Ibrahimovic and Giroud, and his profile differs from the two in that he can float all over the front line.
Origi's role at Milan is likely to be different from his Liverpool days as he projects to receive a huge increase in minutes played. How he maximizes his playing time remains to be seen.
To be sure, with Origi walking through Milanello's doors, Pioli will welcome a resourceful attacking player with a big-game mentality and as demonstrated by his experience and ability to deliver at the most important moment.
