Ahead of facing Bali United, PSM coach: I ask the supporters for help

supporters can put pressure on the opposing team

JAKARTA -- PSMB coach Bernardo Tavares asked supporters to crowd the BJ Habibie Stadium in Parepare, South Sulawesi, Friday (29/7), when the Makassar team faced Bali United in the Indonesian League 1.

"I ask our supporters to write down history, get a good result in Parepare: Because this will be our first home game," said Bernardo.

The Portuguese coach said supporters can put pressure on the opposing team so that it gives PSM an advantage to get full points.

"Whether it's home or away, the pressure is definitely there. But how do we see that pressure into something different. From pressure to motivation," said Bernardo.

Tuesday this week PSM has undergone closed training at the Kalegowa Stadium to finalize the strategy against Bali United.

The Roosters from the East are looking to continue the positive trend this season after winning 2-1 away at PSS Sleman in the first week thanks to two goals from Dutch midfielder Wiljan Pluim before being reduced to PSS Sleman's Brazilian defender Tallysson.

PSM Makassar is temporarily ranked fifth in the Liga 1 standings with three points, behind Madura United, Borneo FC, Persita Tangerang and Dewa United.
