Ahead of Manchester United's opponents, Liverpool must lose Jordan Henderson2021-01-30 03:10
M ANCHESTER - Liverpool lost a key player against Manchester United in the fourth round of the FA Cup, at Old Trafford, Monday (25/1) WIB. The Reds are battling their way to the fifth round against West Ham United.
Jurgen Klopp's men have never won in five matches in the Premier League. The only win in the last six matches was beating Aston Villa in the third round of the FA Cup. And against United they lost captain Jordan Henderson due to muscle problems during Liverpool's 1-0 loss to Burnley as reported by the mirror.
Joel Matip returned to the starting line-up to replace Henderson at the heart of the defense. Klopp hopes for Matip considering his squad is in a defensive crisis. Klopp has tried players in midfield positions to be installed as defenders on several occasions.
Alisson Becker is likely to be deployed even though Caoimhin Kelleher started against Villa. Fabinho will also remain in his position at center back. Meanwhile, the poor performance of Trent-Alexander-Arnold can be replaced by James Milner.
In midfield, Thiago Alcantara should be installed as a tribute to his impressive performance against United. Georginio Wijnaldum also needs to defend his place. However, Xherdan Shaqiri is unlikely to be played due to his poor performance.
If it is true that he will not play Shaqiri, then the opportunity for Takumi Minamino to be played. The defeat against Burnley could have cost Liverpool's two forwards, namely Alex Oxlad-Chamberlaon and Divol Origi, who were not impressive in the match against Burnley. That means Mohamed Salah and Roberto Fimino can be played from the early minutes with Sadio Mane.
Liverpool XI predictions to face Manchester United: Alisson Becker, James Milner, Joel Matip, Fabinho, Robertson, Georgino Wijnaldum, Thiago Alcantara, Takumi Minamino, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
