Allegri Mengaku Sudah Dua Kali Tolak Tawaran Real Madrid

Allegri prefers to return to Juventus than coach Real Madrid.

TURIN - Massimiliano Allegri revealed that he almost became Real Madrid coach last summer. He said he had reached an agreement to join Los Blancos at that time. However, Allegri later canceled joining the Spanish La Liga giants to return to Juventus.

The Italian coach also stated that the rejection was not the first time. Previously, he had also missed the opportunity to coach Madrid.

"I have signed a deal with Real Madrid. But then, early in the morning, I called the president (Florentino Perez) and told him I wasn't going because I had chosen Juventus," said Allegri, quoted by Marca, Friday (1/4).

Florentino Perez also did not mind the decision. Allegri had no qualms about choosing Juventus, who won the Serie A title five times as a coach at the first opportunity. In fact, if you choose Madrid, his journey as a coach will be interesting, having previously coached Milan and Juventus.

But he realized, in life you can't always have everything. He is happy and proud to have coached Milan for several years and is now back at Juventus.

"I turned down Madrid twice. The first was when I renewed my contract with Juve. I told the president that I had promised (Juventus chairman) Andrea Agnelli," said Allegri.

Madrid finally continued to use the services of an Italian coach by signing Carlo Ancelotti last summer.
