Barcelona's former La Masia wonderkid Iker Bravo joins Real Madrid on a season-long loan from Bayer Leverkusen..
2022-08-30 20:49Bayer Leverkusen announced on the official website last night that the club's Spain U17s international wonderkid striker Iker Bravo will join the Real Madrid on loan.
According to Bayer Leverkusen's official statement, Bravo will join Real Madrid for an initial season-long loan. Although neither side has announced whether the loan agreement contains a buyout clause, some German and Spanish media reported that Los Blancos can enjoy the priority right to buy out Bravo's ownership for €6million.
On top of that, renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano also added that the transfer has been approved by FIFA and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). Bravo has been registered to the Real Madrid's youth team, Castilla.
Bravo, who is only 17 years old, was born on January 15, 2005 in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Catalonia, Spain. He is 1.82 meters tall and primarily plays as a center forward. He can also play as a winger or as a supporting striker like Liverpool's Brazil international forward Roberto Firmino.
Bravo came through Real's fierce rivals Barcelona's La Masia youth system at the age of five, and played there for 11 years.
It wasn't until last summer that Bravo switched to Leverkusen's youth system that he had moved out of the La Liga giants for the first time.
As soon as he joined the club, Bravo was arranged to hone in Leverkusen's U19s side. Last season, he played 14 times in the club's U19s side, scoring 7 goals in the third tier.
In addition, Bravo, who played for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal last season, also broke Florian Wirtz's record and became the youngest player to play in the club's history, as well as becoming the third youngest ever Bundelisga player in the history.
At the international level, Bravo has been the key player of Spain's U17s national team since last year, during which he ridiculously scored 11 times from 14 appearances in all competitions during 2021 alone.
