Borussia Dortmund sign Norway defender Ryerson from Union Berlin

Borussia Dortmund announced today the signing of Norwegian right-back Julian Ryerson from Union Berlin for € 5 million. The 25 -year-old has signed a contract until 2026 .

 

The Yellow and Blacks activated a clause in Ryerson 's contract following Thomas Meunier 's injury , which is expected to keep the Belgian out for around six weeks and could miss BVB 's match against Chelsea at the Westfalenstadion in mid- February . Champions League game.

 

Defensive all-rounder Ryerson is one of the capital club's most used players, making 21 appearances in all competitions since the start of the season and is equally comfortable at left-back and right-back, with the eight-time German champions today until 2026 June 30 . _

So far, Ryerson has played 79 times in the Bundesliga and made his first appearance for the Norwegian national team in November 2020 , making a total of 15 appearances. This morning, he successfully completed the medical examination of his new employer.
