Brighton announced on their official website on Wednesday that the club and Rosario Central have reached an agreement in principle over the transfer of Argentina U20s international attacking midfielder wonderkid Facundo Buonanotte.

According to Brighton's official statement, when the winter transfer window opens in January, Buonanotte will fly to England to complete his contract signing and medical with the club. After having his work permit granted, Buonanotte will then be able to officially join the Seagulls.

Brighton technical director David Weir said in a statement on the club's official website after completing the formalities to sign Buonanotte that: "Facundo is a player we have been looking at and observed for a long time.
