Collaborating with British Famous, Rashford Initiating Free Eating Program

Rashford brought in 40 non-governmental organizations and artists

MANCHESTER - Manchester United (MU) player, Marcus Rashford invited two British public figures, Jamie Oliver and Emma Thompson to help with the free food program he initiated.

This he did after Rashford was disappointed because there was a problem when he opened a box of food that did not match his expectations.

Therefore, Rashford invited 40 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), then several artists and celebrity chefs like Jamie Oliver and Emma Thompson to help him.

In a letter addressed to the British prime minister, Rashford poured out his heart after the composition of the food contained in the package was not what he wanted.

"This will work well if done together to end the food crisis in children," wrote Rahsford, quoted by the Daily Mail, Friday (15/1).

The letter was signed by Rashford, Emma Thompson and Jamie Oliver. Not only that, several other celebrities such as Tom Kerridge and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall also did the same.

The British politician from the labor party, Richard Watts, said that Rahsford's campaign must be in line with the government's program. According to him, British authorities must help the movement which was initiated by the 23-year-old striker.

"The government must provide food stamps for families as it did last summer," he said.
