Connor McGregor Wants To Be Into Guinness World Records
2021-08-28 14:02 DUBLIN -- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Conor McGregor continues to seek thrills. This time, the man from Ireland is planning to break the Guinness World Records.
McGregor, who had just lost at the hands of Dustin Poirier, plans to circumnavigate Ireland by using a motorboat or power boat. The island of Ireland, which has an area of 70,273 square kilometers, is not an obstacle for him to seek attention.
"I'm still not sure, but I do plan to break the Guinness world record to circumnavigate the Island of Ireland in a power boat as quickly as possible," said McGregor via his Twitter account, quoted by Marca , Thursday (26/8).
The boat that will be used by McGregor is rumored to have a price of 2.7 million US dollars with a maximum speed of 120 kilometers per hour. However, McGregor did not specify when he would break the record.
"The boat used is man-made. The boat is cool and I will break that record. The power reaches 4,000 bhp with a carbon vessel material. This is exactly what I will do," said McGregor.
Previously, McGregor also tried to get people's attention by calling boxer from the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao, owed him.
Pacquiao has just held a fight against Yordenis Ugas in the fight for the WBA version of the Welterweight title, last Sunday (22/8). In response to this, McGregor said Pacquiao's match affected his match against Dustin Poirier, last July 2021.
In Marca's report, Tuesday (24/8), McGregor felt public attention was divided when Pacquiao decided to step down in the fight against Ugas. As a result, McGregor's match earnings were labeled as not as expected.
"I collect commissions from Manny (Pacquiao) matches and I want them," McGregor wrote on his Twitter account, Monday (23/8).
However, McGregor did not specify the amount of money he wanted from Pacquiao. This is considered a place for McGregor to seek attention as he often does.
