Erlangga is ready to compete in the U-22 National Team2021-02-22 07:01
BANDUNG - Persib Bandung gave two of its players, Erlangga Setyo and Aqil Savik, as representatives of players in the U-22 Indonesia national team (national team). Interestingly, these two players have positions as goalkeepers.
Erlangga admitted that he is ready to compete in a healthy manner in the national team for the position of the main goalkeeper. Apart from Aqil, there are other names such as Nadeo Argawinata and Miswar Saputra who are senior players.
"We can compete with each other, healthy rivals, the first is that we continue to support each other in a healthy manner," said Erlangga, Thursday (11/2).
Erlangga admitted that he had more motivation by being the youngest player among the four. He said he still had a target to enter as the first team.
"I have my own motivation, especially I want to have Bang Aqil. Could it be a little below it or if it can go up. God willing, I will try hard to enter the core squad," said Erlangga.
This is the first time Erlangga has been included in the U-22 national team. Previously, this 18-year-old player was included in the U-19 national team squad and participated in the Garuda Select program in England.
"I don't think so, maybe the coach has other plans to prepare me for the World Cup, the AFC Cup 2023. Yes, Alhamdulillah I can be trusted again to be called up to the U-22 national team," said Erlangga.
A total of 36 players were called in to attend the training camp in Jakarta. They will be prepared at the 2021 SEA Games which is planned to be held in Vietnam in November.
