Ex-Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster returns to Wrexham just six months after his retirement

This Thursday, former Watford, West Bromwich Albion and Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster announced his return to football after half a year of retirement. It is understood that he will play until July this year.

"I'm ecstatic," Ben Foster told state media. "I spent an hour at the club this morning and it looks like a really good place. Everyone is down to earth and the manager is top notch."

" Wrexham have changed dramatically since I first joined. However, I am delighted to be back as a player. I can't wait to start training."

Wrexham is one of the clubs that Ben Foster has played for. In January 2005, they loaned Foster from Stoke City for half a season, during which the latter also played 21 times and kept 6 clean sheets.

After the loan period expired, Foster was sold to Manchester United by Stoke City for 2 million euros. He later followed Manchester United to win 2 Premier League titles and 2 League Cup titles, and played for Watford, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion. In September last year, Ben Foster announced his retirement on his personal blog show (The Cycling GK) at the age of 39.

Wrexham currently top the national league table with 29 wins, 7 draws, 2 losses and 94 points, but their main goalkeeper Rob Lainton will be absent for about 6 weeks due to knee ligament damage. For Wrexham, Ben Foster will be Lainton's replacement for the remainder of the season.
