'False news' - West Ham boss David Moyes refutes dismissal rumors

There are signs that West Ham United boss David Moyes is on the verge of sacking class, but this claim was immediately denied by himself.

At 7:00 pm on the 30th local time in the UK, the 18th round of the 2022/23 Premier League season will start between West Ham United and Brentford. Before the game, Moyes responded to rumors that he might be out of class: "Am I under pressure now? No, not at all. I have a lot of support from David Sullivan. I have to say that your sources are not accurate.”

"I'm not stupid, as a football coach we're always under pressure. No one can get over that. Most managers always have some pressure after losing a few games."

West Ham United spent huge sums of money on signings this summer, but the team's start performance was not as expected: In the Premier League, the Hammers only accumulated 14 points and recorded 4 wins after 16 games, and are currently ranked No. 1 in the standings 16. Even though Moyes has confidence in continuing to be the coach of the Hammers, he also knows that he needs to improve the team's league ranking as soon as possible.

"We've been more used to being in the top half of the table in recent years, so we have no intention of enjoying where we are. We realize we have to win to get out of it," said Moyes.

"We're disappointed that we're not doing as well right now, but we plan to do better and we're working on it."
