Gary Neville Reveals Why Phil Neville Is Suitable To Be A Coach
2021-01-21 23:00LONDON - Former coach of the British women's national team, Phil Neville decided to join Inter Miami who competed in MLS, United States. Phil's older brother, Gary Neville praised his brother's dedication and hard work in the world of football.
Phil decided to resign from his position as manager of the England women's national team six months earlier on Monday (18/1) yesterday. He will be recruited as coach of David Beckham's Inter Miami team.
In this way, Phil Neville is following in the footsteps of fellow members Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney who continued his career as team manager after retiring from football. Gary Neville revealed that his younger brother had always thought about football in his life.
"I know how Phil thinks about football every minute and every day. They are on the pitch for training, writing down every session for the last six or seven years. They really like it and are passionate about it," said Gary quoted by the Daily Mail page, Tuesday (19/1).
Gary knows that Phil has been working hard to stay in the world of football. By getting the opportunity as a team manager, Gary called it a testament to Phil's hard work over the years.
Gary rejected the alleged offer made by Beckham on the basis of friendship. According to him, Beckham already knew Phil's qualities.
"I know my brother and I know David Beckham. He wouldn't give him a job if he thought Phil couldn't do it," said Gary.
Gary is proud of Phil's hard work with the results he delivered during his time leading the England women's national team. Moreover, Phil has experience as David Moyes' assistant at Manchester United.
"He went through the process of getting there, not because David Beckham chose Inter Miami's manager unilaterally," said Gary.
Beckham describes Phil as a natural leader. Phil, now 43 years old, will sign a two-year contract for Inter Miami.
"This is serious work that needs to be done. If he does not do well, then he will know what will happen," said Gary.
