Germany international forward wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko ends speculation by completing long-term contract extension with Borussia Dortmund..



Borussia Dortmund has announced on the official website on Saturday that the club has completed the contract extension with Germany international forward  wonerkid Youssoufa Moukoko.


According to Dortmund's official statement, Moukoko has signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal with the club which will run until the summer of 2026.


After completing his contract renewal procedures, Moukoko, who was interviewed by Dortmund's official website again said: "It's no secret that I feel very comfortable at Borussia Dortmund. I began the first step in my career and now I am ready to take the next step with the club."


"I felt the trust of the coaching staff and there was an environment in which I could develop perfectly. I was of course honoured to know other clubs were interested in me, but in the end it was a decision from the heart. The fans have always supported me, I also want to give something back to them and to the club."


With this contract renewal, all the soap operas about the Moukoko's future transfer have come to an end.


Moukoko, who is only 18 years old, was born in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon on November 20, 2004. He is 1.79 meters tall and plays as a center forward. He has dual citizenship of Cameroon and Germany.


Moukoko joined Dortmund's youth academy in the summer of 2016 and completed his first-team debut at the end of November 2020. He has won 1 DFB-Pokal with the club so far.


This season, Moukoko has has made 22 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga giants, scoring 6 goals and assisting 6 times. He also completed his senior Germany national team debut in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year.
