Guardiola Named Best Coach in February
2021-03-19 22:43JAKARTA - Pep Guardiola received another monthly award as the best coach. This Manchester City coach received the Barclays Manager of the Month for February. It is the second consecutive trophy for Guardiola after winning it in January.
Guardiola led City to six consecutive wins in a month to extend their winning streak to 14 league games and 20 games in all competitions.
City earned an additional award as Ikay Guendano was voted EA SPORTS Player of the Month for the second time in a row.
City started February with a sixth straight clean sheet in a 2-0 win at Burnley, before winning at Liverpool and then beating Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Arsenal and West Ham United.
This is the ninth time Guardiola has won the best coach of the month award. Only Sir Alex Ferguson (27), Arsene Wenger (15) and David Moyes (10) have achieved more than him. Guardiola won the award after the vote from the public combined with the football pundit, beating out Nuno Espirito Santo, Scott Parker and Thomas Tuchel.
