Guillem Balagué and Fabrizio Romano refuted claims suggesting Liverpool regretted signing Arthur on-loan and plans to terminate his loan this January..

Two authoritative reneowned journalists of Sky Sports joined forces on Saturday to refute a rumour which suggested that Liverpool had regretted loaning Brazil international midfielder Arthur.

Rumour spread like wildfire when reporters caught wind

Recently Italian outlet TUTTOmercatoWeb reported exclusively that Liverpool head coach Jürgen Klopp had already deemed to Arthur not as good as expected after only watching the player in training in the past few weeks. It was said that he had regretted bringing in Arthur and had even decided to cancel the loan and send him back to Juventus as soon as the winter transfer window opened in January.

The rumour had spread like wildfire as soon as it was reported, with multiple English outlets like Mirror, The Sun, SPORTBible, TalkSPORT and many more picking up the story. Later, the rumour was even extended to suggest Dennis Zakaria was actually the one the Reds had requested for loan, however as the Serie A side refused and offered Arthur for loan instead, Liverpool reluctantly accepted the offer.

Seeing that this rumour is about to spread out of control, the two renowned journalists of Sky Sports, Spanish journalist, Guillem Balagué and the Italian journalists, Fabrizio Romano finally snapped and coincidentally refute the rumour at the same time on Saturday.

Rebuttal from Spain

Guillem Balagué clarified that Liverpool have yet to decide whether they will extend his lease or buy him out, the club's coaching staff have already felt very satisfied with Arthur's quality after only seeing him training for a limited time.

Furthermore, Balagué also clarified that the reason why Arthur has not officially had the opportunity to start games for the club is because he currently needs extra physical training to be fully back to his fittest shape. Since he has not had ample opportunities to play for nearly a whole year, and has not even been arranged to participate in Juventus' pre-season warm-up training camp this summer, in order to be able to get into the best condition as soon as possible, Arthur has even volunteered forgo his off days to come back to the AXA Training Center to train and be fit.

Italy also objected

Soon after, Fabrizio Romano also posted that the consensus between Arthur and Liverpool has always been to have 100% trust in each other. Arthur has vowed to do his absolute best to get back to full fitness and show others how good he can be.

Romano also added that Klopp and his assistant Pepijn Linders have personally agreed and ordered the coaching staff to fully cooperate with Arthur, ordering a set of exclusive tailor-made special training courses for him, and also allowing him and the coaching staff to come back anytime together to have more training sessions in order to help him get back to peak fitness sooner rather than later.

Denial from the player personally

It is worth mentioning that, in order to be able to make contributions for the first team as soon as possible, Arthur himself have also volunteered and given permission to participate in Liverpool U21s Premier League 2 match as an overage player on Saturday evening, along with fellow defender Nat Phillips who are of same age with him. Judging from these signs, the Premier League giants definitely don't seem to have any signs of regretting Arthur's loan.
