Have a chance to win 3 points, Liverpool choose vs MU in the field
2021-05-10 11:32 LIVERPOOL - Liverpool reportedly will not ask the English Football Federation (FA) or the Premier League organizing authority to award a three-point score following the postponement of the match against Manchester United (MU). One of the matches in Week 34 of the English Premier League had to be postponed due to protests from MU fans.
Originally, the match would be held at Old Trafford Stadium, Sunday (2/5) evening WIB. However, the party was finally postponed because of the MU fan protest. The United fans entered the Old Trafford Stadium pitch and called for rejection of United owners, the Glazer Family.
As a result of the delay, Liverpool have the opportunity to get three points from the match. Based on the applicable provisions, the FA and the Premier League can make a decision not to hold the match. That way, Liverpool, who came as the visitors, were entitled to three points due to the behavior of the home team or the club's supporters.
However, the club from Merseyside is not interested in getting a result like that. Liverpool have reportedly asked the FA and Premier League to continue to hold this match. In fact, Liverpool and Manchester United will work together in determining the timing of the postponed match, '' wrote the Mirror report, Tuesday (4/5).
Even so, determining the timing of this match is expected to meet its own challenges. The reason is, United are still participating in the Europa League stage in the middle of this week. Not only that, United will also play a number of matches in midweek, to be precise in the next two weeks.
In the middle of next week, United are scheduled to face Leicester City. Then the following week, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team will face Fulham.
United actually has an empty schedule on 15 May. However, Liverpool will face West Bromwich Albion the following day. In addition, Liverpool have yet to determine a date for the match against Burnley.
One option that has emerged is the shift in United's match against Leicester City in the middle of next week. At that time, Liverpool had an empty schedule and could appear in the midweek match.
