If Ademeyi joins, there will be more Muslim players at Liverpool
2021-12-05 06:06 SALZBURG -- RB Salzburg youth player, Karim Ademeyi, admits he is interested in joining Liverpool in the near future. He was inspired by the Liverpool Muslim duo, Naby Keita and Sadio Mane.
The 19-year-old is rumored to be being eyed by various elite European clubs, such as Liverpool, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. So far, this Muslim player with a German passport has contributed 15 goals and two assists in 25 Australian League matches for the 2021/2022 season.
Previously, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita were former RB Salzburg players before finally landing at Liverpool. Mane is from Senegal and Keita is from Guinea. Seeing this, Adeyemi admits that she wants to follow a similar path.
"Over the years, many young players have grown up in Salzburg. They have also moved to big clubs in the world," Adeyemi said as reported by Tribalfootball , Friday (12/3). "I saw Erling Haaland, then Sadio Manedan and Naby Keita. Of course I have goals like theirs. I want to be at the next stage of my career with a top club."
If Ademeyi joins Liverpool, then he will add to the ranks of Muslim footballers who graze at Anfield. In addition to Sadio Mane and Naby Keita, Muslim footballers who defend Liverpool are Mohamed Salah from Egypt and Xher and Xaqiri from Switzerland.
On the one hand, the new coach of Manchester United (MU), Ralf Rangnick, also opened up the possibility of recruiting Karim Adeyemi in the next winter transfer market. In The Mirror 's report quoted by Sportsmole , Wednesday (1/12), Rangnick reportedly asked MU management to monitor Adeyemi in the nearest transfer window.
