Lazio Last Team to Coppa Italia Quarter-Final

Lazio beat Parma 2-1.

JAKARTA - Lazio is the last team to secure a ticket to the Coppa Italia quarter-finals. Lazio gained a 2-1 victory overParmap in the last 16 match played at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome, Friday (22/1) early morning Western Indonesian Time.

Marco Parolo opened Lazio's lead with his goal in the 23rd minute.

Parma had equalized through Valentin Mihaila's goal in the 83rd minute. However, Simone Colombo 's own goal in the 90th minute restored the Biancocelesti's lead, according to the official Italian League website.

In the quarter-finals, Lazio will face Atalanta on Wednesday (27/1).

Both teams are not reinforced by a number of their flagship players. Lazio lost Luis Alberto and Luiz Felipe, who just started operations, while Parma was practically without its main attackers and defenders.

Vedat Muriqi almost scored his first goal as a Lazio player. But his efforts to stretch his legs to meet the bait only ended up on the ball hitting the goalpost.

Parma threatened back. Juan Brunetta's kick when closing the counter-attack is deflected and wide. Muriqi then had another chance but his shot was blocked by goalkeeper Simone Colombo.

Lazio's chances were again thwarted by the post, this time when Andreas Pereira kicked off.

But they then managed to break the deadlock when Pereira's cross was cleared to perfection by Parolo's header.

Goalkeeper Colombi was able to break Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro's half volley.

Moments later, Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi brought in Senad Lulic. It was Lulic's first appearance after missing 11 months due to injury.

Parma had two good chances in the 73rd minute. First when goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha tipped off Juan Brunetta's header from close range, then Valentin Mihaila's effort grabbed the bouncing ball against the crossbar.

Parma's efforts to score a return goal finally paid off.

An unsuccessful offside trap allowed Mihaila to chase a through-pass on the left, allowing her to beat Strakosha.

When the match looked like it had to be followed by extra time, Muriqi ended up taking charge of Lazio's goals.

His header hit the post, and hit Colombi to find the visitors' goal and recorded as an own goal.
