Al-Ikhsan Sports is a sportswear franchise founded by a local Malay businessman, Haji Ali Hassan, and his wife Marina Abu Bakar. The brand started from a small shop in Holiday Plaza, Johor, Malaysia during 1993, and has now become a huge sportwear franchise with at least 125 branches across Malaysia.
Al-Ikhsan Sports has always been committed to providing all Malaysians with the aim of being able to buy high-quality sporting goods at a low price. Its unique business model and its many choices of produces offered are very popular among Malaysians. A big selling point which has became the key of why it is popular among Malaysian consumers .
In order to make it easier for football-loving Malaysian fans to buy boots, footballs, jerseys, shorts and socks, Al-Ikhsan Sports established a sub-label Football Republic in 2017. Since its establishment, Football Republic has become the retailing platform for genuine jerseys of the Malaysian national team, all participating clubs in the Malaysian Super League, and many clubs in the Big-5 European leagues in Malaysia.
Since 2019, Al-Ikhsan Sports has collaborated with Liverpool as they become the main official merchandise retailer of the club in Malaysia. Since then, Liverpool's official merchandise has only been available in the Football Republic and Al-Ikhsan Sports outlets and online stores in Malaysia. Whenever Liverpool has a key game or holds an official event in Malaysia, Al-Ikhsan Sports will also swiftly make promotional posts and campaigns for the club in its official Facebook page.

In fact, before Al-Ikhsan Sports officially announced that it would set up the official Liverpool flagship club store, photos of the location of its store has already began to circulate on multiple social platforms, and some of the photos posted by fans also attracted the official Liverpool mascot, Mighty Red to like and comment on them.
It is worth noting that this is actually the second time in the history that Liverpool is setting up an official flagship club store in Malaysia. As early as September 2014, the Premier League giants had also established by an official flgship club store in Lot 10, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur which was operated by different company. At the time, Reds legend Robbie Fowler even personally came to serve as the opening guest and interacted with fans by taking photos and signing autographs. However, the flagship club store was forced to close in mid-2019 after the mall's major renovation.
