British authoritative online media The Athletic's resident renowned English Liverpool correspondent James Pearce reported that Tim Jenkins, the assistant coach of the Liverpool U18s youth academy team, has accepted the offer to become the Bournemouth's head coach Gary O'Neil's first-team assistant coaching role.


According to reports, after Bournemouth was tookover by the rich American businessman Bill Foley, O'Neil has been recruiting non-stop recently to fill his assistant coaching staff after being made permanent head coach. After the club's former legendary forward Steve Fletcher agreed to join Bournemouth's assistant coaching team, O'Neil approached Jenkins, who he had previously worked with in the Liverpool U18s academy, and the latter quickly agreed to join O'Neil's assistant coaching staff after notifying the Reds' senior management.


The 43-year-old Tim Jenkins was born in Manchester. As a player, he played for non-league club Gloucester United as a center forward.


After retiring, Jenkins joined ProZone, an authoritative football statistics company, as a data analyst in 2000. During this period, he me the two renowned Liverpool Sporting Directors, Michael Edwards and Julian Ward, and then join EFL League One side Derby County on the same role in 2002.
