'Maybe in 20 days' - no date yet for Pogba's return

Paul Pogba 's return from injury has been further delayed, Juve boss Allegri confirmed on Saturday.

"Pogba is not there. At the moment he is still excluded," Allegri told reporters. "I'm sorry, but that's the reality. He's trying to play again, but I can't tell when he'll be back."

In July 2022, Pogba joined Juventus for the second time, but he has missed the game so far due to a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee in the same month. His last appearance dates back to April 19 last year, when Manchester United lost 0-4 to Liverpool in the Premier League.

In order to participate in the World Cup, Pogba initially adopted conservative treatment, and was scheduled to undergo surgery after the injury aggravated. In mid-October, he once resumed training, but suffered a muscle injury again.

Allegri later added that he would know more in about three weeks: "Maybe in 20 days. We are all waiting for his comeback, especially me. He is an important player."

"It's not a new injury for Pogba, it's a normal recovery path. He's working hard to get back on track."
