Mbappe was named Ligue 1 Player of the Year for the fourth time in a row and will stay in Paris next season

Mbappe has committed to staying at PSG next season after being named Ligue 1 Player of the Year for the fourth time in a row.

The striker has been linked with a move away from the French outfit and according to reports, Real Madrid remain interested in signing him, despite rejecting their offer and signing a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain. However, the player said he has no plans to leave the Ligue 1 champions this summer.

"Next year I will play at Paris Saint-Germain, I still have a contract and I will fulfill my contract," Mbappe told reporters.

Mbappe made the pledge after winning the UNFP (French National Professional Footballers' Association) Ligue 1 Player of the Year award for the fourth time in a row .

The 24-year-old was also named in the Team of the Year alongside Lionel Messi who missed the ceremony to attend a Coldplay concert in Barcelona . After scoring the title-winning goal for Paris Saint-Germain against Strasbourg on Saturday night, Messi swiftly returned to Spain for one of the big music events of the year. The 35 -year-old was seen in the crowd at the Montjuic Stadium, apparently trying to keep a low profile. However, that was out of the question for the World Cup winner as the Barca fans in attendance started chanting his name in unison once they recognized him sitting in the lower stands.

Mbappe scored 28 goals in Ligue 1 , helping the Paris team win the league title again. However, Mbappe has one year left on his contract at PSG and his comments could be a hint that he plans to leave the club on a free transfer after the 2023-24 season.

Next, Mbappe will end the season with Paris Saint-Germain in his final game against Claremont on June 3.
