Mourinho will always be linked with Roma, Tottenham the only club he doesn't have emotions

Roma boss Jose Mourinho has criticized Tottenham Hotspur and club chairman Daniel Levy in a news conference, revealing that Spurs are "the only one in my career where I don't have real emotion )club".

Mourinho made the remarks at a press conference ahead of next week's Europa League final with Sevilla, as he looks to build a back-to-back European trophy after winning the inaugural UEFA Europa League last year.

Mourinho, who has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain job rumors, stressed the importance of enjoying the final, but added he "will always be linked with Roma". The 60-year-old coach mentioned Porto, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United as other clubs he still "has an emotional connection to" , but Tottenham are an exception.

"I hope Tottenham fans don't get me wrong, but the only club in my career where I don't have a deep affection for Tottenham is Tottenham," Mourinho said. "Probably because the stadium was empty during the pandemic. Probably because Mr Levy didn't win me a final and a trophy."

Mourinho was fired by Tottenham in April 2021. After 17 months of coaching, he was fired 6 days before the Carabao Cup final . The team lost to Manchester City under the leadership of acting head coach Ryan Mason.

"With this one exception , with all the other clubs I have an emotional connection. Some might say, you can't love every club. Yes, I love every club! With Roma we will always have a connection, just like I did. Same with all the previous clubs, except Mr Levy's."

Ahead of next Wednesday's Europa League final in Budapest, Jose Mourinho has revealed striker Paulo Dybala may not be available. The 29-year-old striker has 16 goals and eight assists in all competitions this season but is still not fully fit after suffering an ankle injury at the end of April.

"I don't think he will be able to play. I hope he will be on the bench ... and be able to play 15 or 20 minutes," said Mourinho. Roma have two games left in the league and are still short of the top four. With 4 points, they travel to Fiorentina on Saturday and host Spezia next Sunday, so a game with Sevilla for a Champions League place is Mourinho's priority.
