Official: Lazio extend Lazzari's contract until 2027

The Serie A Lazio club announced on the 22nd that it has renewed the contract with the 28-year-old Manuel Lazzari until 2027.

Lazzari mainly plays as a right back, but can also play as a right midfielder and a right winger. In July 2019, he joined Lazio from Spal for 15 million euros. In the past three years, he has played 134 times for the Blue Eagles, scored 6 goals and sent 14 assists.

Lazzari still has a two-year contract with Lazio at this stage. A few days ago, there were rumors that Lazzari might switch to Inter Milan, but the player dispelled the concerns of the fans by renewing his contract. According to a number of Italian media confirmations, Lazzari will receive a higher salary after the contract takes effect: his annual salary is expected to rise slightly from 1.3 million euros to 1.7 million euros.

Lazio's upcoming contract renewals

Following Lazzari, the renewal of the contract between 28-year-old Italian midfielder Danilo Cataldi and 18-year-old Argentine striker Luka Romero is also on the agenda. Of the two, Luka Romero's contract renewal is progressing more smoothly, and he is expected to renew his contract with Lazio until June 2026 in the not-too-distant future.

The contract renewal negotiations between the club and Cataldi are also underway, but the relevant talks are still in the preliminary stage.

According to Radiosei reports, Lazio has held talks with the 29-year-old Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson, whose current contract will expire in 2025.
