OFFICIAL: Lens extends contract with Sotoca until 2026

Following Said and Medina, the 32-year-old French forward Florian Sotoca became the third player to renew his contract with Lens this winter.

Sotoca still has one and a half years left in Lens' contract, but the club wants to keep him in the form of a contract extension. According to the official statement, his contract will be extended until June 30, 2026.

"Florian Sotoca's contract extension was an obvious choice," enthused Lens managing director Arnaud Pouille. "We are very pleased to be able to retain a symbolic player, a cohesive leader."

Sotoca mainly plays as a center forward, but can also play as a right winger and a second forward. The player started his career at FU Narbonne, and Lens is the sixth club he has played for after FU Narbonne, Martigues, Beziers, Montpellier and Grenoble.

Since 2019, Sotoca has played 124 times for Lens, scoring 30 goals and sending 18 assists.
