PSSI did not follow Malaysia's steps to bring down the U-19 national team

JAKARTA - PSSI confirmed that it would not imitate the steps of the Malaysian Football Association (FAM) which fielded the U-19 national team at the 2021 SEA Games, Vietnam.

"PSSI has its own way," said PSSI Technical DirectorIndra Sjafri to Antara in Jakarta, Friday (29/1).

Indra emphasized that Indonesia will never follow the steps of any country regarding the national team, including the strategy to compete in the SEA Games.

"PSSI already has a plan that will be implemented by the coach," said the former coach who once led Indonesia to win the AFF U-19 Cup and AFF U-22 Cup.

In mid-January 2021, the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) confirmed that the FAM will send the U-19 national team to the 2021 SEA Games.
