Ronaldo Investigated by Police for Alleged Covid-19 Violation
2021-02-07 22:01ROME - The Valle d'Aosta Italy Police are conducting an investigation into Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Rpnaldo was investigated for alleged violations of the Covid-19 protocol in effect when he traveled between the Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta regions.
The trip in question allegedly took place on Tuesday (26/1) and Wednesday (27/1) when Ronaldo with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez Courmayeur tourist town located the Alps, Reuters reported on Thursday (28/1).
Authorities were notified of Ronaldo's alleged presence in the area based on videos circulating on social media showing the couple sitting in a snowmobile celebrating Rodriguez's 27th birthday.
This activity violates regulations under the Covid-19 protocol in Italy, which prohibits travel between the two areas categorized as orange zones, including Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta. If Ronaldo is proven to have made the trip, he could face a fine.
However, there are a number of exceptions to the applicable prohibition, including if a person visits their second home on their own or leaves for work reasons.
