San Antonio Spurs waived shooting guard wonderkid Joshua Primo after he allegedly sexually harassed multiple women by sending nude photos of himself..

The San Antonio Spurs announced on Friday local time that they had waived 19-year-old Canadian shooting guard Joshua Primo.

Spurs only said in a statement that for the long-term future of the players and the team, the team believes that this move is the best decision for Spurs as a whole and for Primo himself. After that, no matter how the reporter called and questioned, the official Spurs spokesperson still insisted that they would not disclose the real reason why Primo was waived.

It wasn't until Saturday night that Shams Charania, a well-known resident correspondent of online media The Athletic, broke the news of an ugly scandal that Spurs had received allegations from multiple women that Primo, who was addicted to flirting, kept sending them nude photos of himself to woo them into giving him consent for a sexual intercourse and they had chosen to complain to the team's management about the disgusting behaviour of the future star. In view of the seriousness of the situation, Spurs had no choice but choose to cut ties with Primo.

In addition, according to a follow-up report made by ESPN, one of the harassed former Spurs female employee has appointed well-known lawyer Tony Buzbee to file a lawsuit against Primo for sexual harassment.

Buzbee has gained notoriety by previously representing some of the female victims in allegations of sexual assault against National Football League (NFL) player Deshaun Watson.

After the news of his dismissal came out, Primo also wrote through his personal official Instagram social account that: "I know everyone is surprised by this. I have been asking for help to solve the my previous psychological trauma. Right now, I will use this time to focus on my own mental health treatment. I hope to have the opportunity to discuss these issues openly in the future and help others who are suffering similarly. I am grateful to the Spurs for protecting my personal privacy.”

Primo, 19, joined Spurs as the 12th pick in the first round of the 2021 NBA draft. Two weeks ago, multiple media also broke the news that the Spurs had just activated the extension clause in Primo’s contract to lock in his option of a $4.3 million annual salary for the third season.

Primo has played 4 times in the regular season for the San Antonio Spurs this season, averaging 7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and a 34.6 percent field shooting rate.
