San Lorenzo defender Federico Gattoni agrees future transfer to Sevilla..



Sevilla announced on their official website on Saturday that the club has reached an agreement with San Lorenzo over the transfer of former Argentina U19s international center-back Federico Gattoni.


According to Sevilla's official statement, Gattoni has already pre-signed a four year long-term deal with the club which will until the summer of 2027. He will officially join Sevilla after the summer transfer window opens on July 1.


In addition, according to Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Gattoni's transfer fee is €1.2 million.


The 24-year-old Gattoni was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on February 16, 1999. He is 1.83 meters tall and plays as a central defender. He has dual citizenship of Argentina and Italy.


Gattoni joined the San Lorenzo youth academy at the age of 7 and made his first-team debut in October 2020.


Gattoni, who is extremely talented, has been one of Argentina's most exciting defenders at a young age. His outstanding leadership skills have recently also seen him bring made one of San Lorenzo's vice-captains.


Since his debut, Gattoni has played 70 times for the Argentine Primera División club across all competitions, scoring 6 goals and assisting 3 times, and represented the Argentina U19s national team twice in 2018.


After Sevilla lost the two center-backs, Jules Koundé and Diego Carlos, even with the arrival of Marcão and Tanguy Nianzou, they still failed to stop their rot, causing the club to sink into the lower-half position.
