Solid at the top, Romagnoli: Milan's target to the Champions League
2021-02-17 06:36 MILAN - ACMILA are back on track with winning. This is the context in the continued Italian Serie ALiga 2020/2021 season.
Milan was defeated by Atalanta in the 19th giornata. After that, the Rossoneri overthrew Bologna at Renato Dall'Ara.
Most recently, the red-black squad performed impressively when they hosted Crotone. Stefano Pioli's foster children lead 4-0 over I Pitagorici, at the San Siro Stadium, Sunday (7/2) evening WIB.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ante Rebic each scored two goals. Pioli's troops were increasingly unstoppable.
Such facts make Il Diavolo firmly at the top of the standings. Even so, Milan captainAlessio Romagnoli does not want to brag about the chances of the elite fashion city club winning the scudetto this season.
"Our target is to qualify for the Champions League. We'll see where we stand in April," Romagnoli told Sky as quoted by Football Italia , Monday (8/2).
Romagnoli emphasized that he only needs to focus on going game by game. Competition is fierce.
Former AS Roma duet with Fikayo Tomori at the heart of Il Diavolo's defense. Tomori replaces Simon Kjaer.
Kjaer is still recovering from his injury. It is not yet known when the latch for the Danish national team will return to the mountain.
Fortunately Tomori was able to do a good job. Romagnoli admits that. "He is a very good, aggressive and quality player," said the captain.
After bulldozing Crotone, Milan's focus was immediately on the Spezia Calcio. The 22nd giornata duel in Serie A took place at the Alberto Picco Stadium, Sunday (14/2) in the morning WIB.
