Ini Alasan Dybala Tinggalkan Juventus, Salahnya Dinilai Klub Plin Plan

As for Juventus, the situation is not related to financial matters

ROME - AS Roma's new striker, Paulo Dybala, talked about his status which was not included in Juventus' plans so that there was no agreement to extend his contract which expired last month.

This was stated by Dybala on the sidelines of his introduction session in front of thousands of Roma fans in the Italian capital on Tuesday local time.

The 28-year-old Argentine striker arrived in Rome on a free transfer last weekend after his old contract expired at Juventus.

"About Juve the situation is not related to financial problems," Dybala told reporters as reported by Reuters on Wednesday (27/7).

"We had an agreement in October, but then the club asked me to wait and in March suddenly said that I was not in their plans. The club took a different decision with the coach," he added.

With Juventus, Dybala had five Scudetto titles and four Coppa Italia trophies after moving from Palermo in 2015.

He scored 115 goals for Juventus in 293 games in various competitions, but his form in the last two seasons has been plagued by a series of injury problems.

"At Juve I gain a lot of experience, I try to do my best in the dressing room while helping the team to win and always try to be positive in every difficult moment," he said.

Dybala did not want to immediately brag to help Roma chase the Italian League Scudetto title because he considered that there were still many competing teams in a superior position.

"It's too early to talk about the Scudetto. At the moment there are still several teams who are superior, we have to work calmly," he said.

"Everyone wants to win, we have to do it every game and eventually we will know where we stand," concluded Dybala.

Dybala is the fourth signing for Jose Mourinho's squad ahead of the new 2022-23 Italian League season after Roma also signed midfielder Nemanja Matic and goalkeeper Mile Svilar for free and bought defender Zeki Celik from Lille.

Roma will start the season with an away game to Salernitana on August 14 and will compete in the Europa League after winning the inaugural edition of the Conference League last season.
