Two players and assistants suspended for up to six games, Cadiz will appeal for disobedience

The Royal Spanish Football Association issued a ticket recently, referring to two players and assistant coaches in Cadiz who were banned from participating in up to 6 games for provoking and attacking opposing players in the last round of La Liga .

That game was held last Saturday, and Cadiz played against Getafe at home. With Cadiz leading 2-1, Getafe tied the game with a penalty kick in the last minute. The controversial penalty also sparked dissatisfaction in Cadiz.

Getafe was celebrating their final goal when Cadiz defender Isaac Casselen, 29, deliberately hit a Getafe player and was sent off by the referee. Cadiz coach Sergio Gonzalez and his assistants criticized the referee loudly after the game.

Cadiz goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma, 30, shoved a teammate toward the referee as he walked into the tunnel after the game.

At present, the Royal Spanish Football Association has suspended Casselen for 3 games, while Ledesma has been suspended for 4 games. In addition, the assistant coach was suspended for 4 games, and the goalkeeper coach of Cadiz was suspended for 6 games.

The news of the current suspension is a major blow to Cadiz, who is only one point away from the relegation zone. Therefore, Cadiz disagreed with the ruling after receiving the penalty from the Royal Spanish Football Association and will appeal this.
