Juventus will compete in the Coppa Italia quarter-final against SPAL, Thursday (28/1) WIB.

JAKARTA - Juventus confirms Alex Sandrotelah has recovered from Covid-19. This condition makes him available for Coppa Italy's quarter-final match against SPAL at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, Thursday (28/1) WIB.

The full back was granted permission to play on Tuesday (26/1) after testing negative in two consecutive swabs. Therefore, he was released from self-isolation protocol and was able to resume training with his teammates on Wednesday morning (27/1).

Sandro just turned his 30th birthday on January 26th. This news is a follow-up birthday present for the Brazilian player.

Sandro was confirmed positive for Covid-19 in early January. So far, he has only appeared seven times with Juventus in the Italian Serie A this season.

Sandro played 83 minutes during the Old Lady's 4-1 win over Udinese at the Allianz Stadium, just before she tested positive for Covid-19.

Juventus' return to the Coppa Italia is supported by two consecutive wins of a similar kind. Juventus' 2-0 win over Napoli in the Italian Super Cup gave under pressure coach Andrea Pirlo his first trophy with the Old Lady.

Furthermore, Juventus beat Bologna also with a similar score. Goals came from midfielders Arthur and Weston McKennie, to close the gap with Serie A interim leaders AC Milan.
