This is a strong reason for Christian Eriksen to choose to join Manchester United
2022-07-28 14:04MANCHESTER - New signing Manchester United (MU) Christian Eriksen said he was happy to join one of the best clubs in the English Premier League. He also explained his reasons for choosing to join the Theater of Dream.
"I think from my career path before the incident at the Euros, the plan was not to return to England at all," Eriksen explained, quoted by Tribal Football , Wednesday (27/7/2022).
United made Eriksen their second signing of the transfer window this summer. Man United competed with several clubs who were also interested in the Danish footballer.
Eriksen is very happy to be wearing a costume for the team that has 20 Premier League titles. In fact, before the incident he experienced at last year's European Cup, he didn't think about joining city rivals Manchester City at all.
The former Inter Milan player is known to receive many offers from top European clubs. But decided to accept the proposal from Manchester United. The main reason for the 30-year-old is Erik ten Hag's role as coach.
"Obviously to talk to the coach and hear his ideas and have a conversation with him is a good thing. It was ideal for me to get a decision and possibly come to Manchester United," continued Eriksen.
Eriksen is also optimistic that he will give his best as long as he is given playing time by the coach. He is confident that he can make a good contribution to the Red Devils next season.
"I think my style of play matches his ideas and hopefully it's something that will connect in a good and positive way," explained Eriksen.
