Tottenham Hotspur Helps Local Hospitals Fight Covid
2021-02-16 15:54LONDON - Tottenham Hotspur donated 100 thousand pounds or the equivalent of 1.9 billion rupiah to a local hospital in London in the North Mid Charity program. This donation is a form of support for health staff.
Donations were made to the North Middlesex University Hospital which is at the forefront of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. Reporting from the Premier League website, the donation came from fines for players who violated health protocols.
Donations were made in the form of gift vouchers for health staff as a moral boost. Tottenham Hotspur CEO, Daniel Levy, said that money was given by players sincerely.
"The club always collects fines from players for special reasons and we cannot think of a better reason to donate these funds than for this program," said Levy.
